Job description
The Apple Acoustics Engineering Project Manager (EPM) team is seeking an EPM to lead the development and qualification of microphone and acoustics technology for product deployment. This role involves overseeing internal efforts related to microphone technology, module integration, and audio validation. The EPM will coordinate with various external partners and advocate for optimal acoustic performance across the organization. Strong project management and technical skills are essential for success in this collaborative and dynamic environment.
Requirements
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics is required.
- 5+ years of project management experience is necessary.
- Experience in shipping high-volume products or collaborating with industry manufacturing partners is required.
- Experience in SemiConductor, MEMS, Microphone, Sensor technology, and full product development lifecycle is needed.
- A strong technical background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or advanced manufacturing is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are essential.
- Strong cross-functional coordination and project management skills are required.
- Experience in driving international module or component design and manufacturing partners is essential.
Responsibilities
- Oversee internal efforts of microphone technology, module integration, and audio validation teams.
- Lead cross-functional coordination with external partners in technology and hardware engineering.
- Identify and resolve potential schedule pitfalls and quality risks.
- Advocate for the best overall acoustic performance throughout the organization.
- Facilitate risk management and communicate status and issues to the development team and Apple executives.
- Manage rapid development cycles while remaining adaptable in uncertain situations.
- Drive, multitask, and prioritize tasks while fostering a collaborative environment.
