Job description

The role is for a stability QA engineer focused on automation and quality assurance for consumer electronics. The team is composed of diverse-minded systems QA engineers who partner closely with engineering teams to drive stability and shape innovative products. The position involves building and executing automated tests to validate features and ensure system stability. Candidates should be passionate about driving quality and improving processes through automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of Systems QA or System Test experience, preferably on consumer electronics
  • Ability to define, design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks with development skills in Python and Object Oriented Programming
  • Experience being responsible for a complete functional area of a product or application
  • Familiarity with computer vision or image processing, AR/VR systems, and spatial computing
  • Experience with AI-based tooling and framework development
  • Experience with visualization tools like Tableau or Splunk
  • Experience with robotics test fixtures

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute automated tests for validation of features and system stability
  • Own and maintain automated test suites that run continuously across product builds
  • Investigate failures and triage root causes to advocate for fixes
  • Coordinate with engineers across Apple to improve and maintain stability on new releases
  • Work through every step of the product development cycle to enhance product reliability and usability
