DoorDash is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Discovery Experience team, which is responsible for the Homepage that serves millions of consumers daily. This role involves overseeing both product and technical direction, focusing on enhancing user engagement through personalized recommendations and improved layouts. The manager will collaborate with various teams to shape the discovery roadmap and ensure high-quality outcomes. • You have a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• You have 7+ years of industry experience, including a minimum of 2 years of management experience.
• You have experience managing engineering disciplines across backend, Android, iOS, and web.
• You bring strong product sense and can collaborate effectively with cross-functional peers.
• You have hands-on experience working with non-technical stakeholders and building scalable products in a fast-paced environment.
• You have the ability to handle ambiguity and work with product and business partners to design scalable experience solutions.
• You have the ability to guide and grow an excellent engineering team in a rapidly changing business environment.

• Own the Homepage end to end, focusing on the highest-traffic surface at DoorDash.
• Turn Homepage bets into company-level outcomes by improving conversion and order rates.
• Define discovery quality by ensuring the right store, restaurant, or item is presented to consumers at the right moment.
• Ship LLM-generated recommendations and intent-aware discovery experiences.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data Science, and ML/Recommendation Platform teams to shape the discovery roadmap.
• Build an inclusive, high-performing team by coaching engineers and supporting career growth.
• Drive product velocity while maintaining high standards for reliability, performance, and user experience.
• Architect backend systems and APIs to create a fast, personalized Homepage across platforms.
