Arcadis is seeking a Principal Water Treatment Planning Engineer/Manager to lead water quality and treatment planning projects in Southern California. This role involves guiding long-term strategy development and mentoring a team of planners, engineers, and scientists. The individual will collaborate with regional and national leaders to address water supply resilience challenges and evolving regulatory requirements. The focus is on delivering complex multidisciplinary planning projects that enhance water quality and sustainability.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or a related field
• 12 years of progressive experience in water resources planning, water system planning, or related fields
• Professional Engineer (PE) license

• Direct comprehensive water and recycled water quality and treatment planning efforts.
• Lead water and recycled water treatment evaluations of existing infrastructure and plan improvements.
• Support municipalities/utilities as the Owner's Agent on alternative delivery projects.
• Provide technical leadership on water policy, regulatory frameworks, and planning best practices.
• Partner with Area Managers and Account Leaders to develop client engagement strategies.
• Oversee multidisciplinary planning projects, ensuring deliverables align with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Lead development of capital improvement plans and asset investment strategies.
• Mentor and develop water planning professionals and foster a collaborative team culture.
