Job description

As a Software System Integration Test (SSIT) Engineer at Qualcomm, you will be part of the AISW engineering team focusing on the Delegates portfolio, including ONNX Runtime and TFLite. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure subsystem-level validation during the feature development stage, collaborating closely with software engineers to define test strategies and build targeted test content. This role emphasizes a shift-left quality approach, making you a co-owner of feature quality from inception. You will also be involved in defect triage and root cause analysis, ensuring a smooth handoff to QA and System Integration Testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years.
  • Strong Python skills with hands-on experience in building automated test frameworks.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ sufficient to debug delegate and runtime issues.
  • Experience in subsystem or integration testing within a hardware/software product development cycle.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD platforms and integrating test automation into build pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with delegate engineers to define testability requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Own SSIT test strategy per feature, including scope and risk-based prioritization.
  • Develop and maintain automated test content targeting subsystem boundaries.
  • Validate on-device behavior on Snapdragon SoCs under real hardware conditions.
  • Triage failures and isolate root causes across the delegate stack.

Benefits

  • Qualcomm offers competitive compensation, annual bonuses, stock programs, comprehensive healthcare coverage, retirement plans, wellness programs, parental leave, flexible work options, and professional development opportunities.
