As a CPU Micro-architecture and RTL Design Engineer, you will collaborate with chip architects to define micro-architecture and contribute to product life-cycle early on. • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years.
• Thorough knowledge of microprocessor architecture including expertise in load/store execution, prefetching, and cache controllers.
• Knowledge of Verilog and/or VHDL.
• Experience with simulators and waveform debugging tools.
• Understanding of low power microarchitecture techniques and high performance techniques.

• Explore high performance strategies in collaboration with the CPU performance modeling team.
• Develop and specify microarchitecture from high-level exploration to detailed specification.
• Own the development, assessment, and refinement of RTL design to meet power, performance, area, reliability, and timing goals.
• Support the design verification team in executing the functional verification strategy.
• Assist in verifying that the RTL design meets performance goals.
• Collaborate with a multi-functional engineering team to implement and validate physical design aspects.
