Morgan Stanley is seeking an Associate in the Research division based in New York, New York. The role involves analyzing market-moving events and conducting industry research to support investment decisions. The Associate will build financial models, conduct valuation analysis, and develop investment theses. Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Requires four (4) years of experience in the position offered or four (4) years as an Associate, Analyst, or a related role.
- Requires four (4) years of experience with building detailed operating models and valuation analysis.
- Requires knowledge of accounting standards and methodologies, including GAAP and IFRS.
- Requires experience with industry supply chain mapping and expert network utilization.
- Requires proficiency in Factset, Eikon, Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, CapIQ, and MergerMarket.
Responsibilities
- Debrief internal stakeholders on market-moving events impacting stock prices.
- Conduct industry diligence and primary research through various methods.
- Build financial operating models for key drivers and performance indicators.
- Conduct valuation analysis to establish price targets for companies.
- Identify catalysts and develop investment theses based on market events.
- Write clear investment reports summarizing insights for buy-side clients.
- Develop and maintain relationships with buy-side clients to provide insights.
- Ensure research is produced in a compliant manner with internal stakeholders.
