Job description

As an AI Infrastructure Engineer at KLA, you will focus on researching and developing advanced hardware and software technologies to support large-scale AI and machine learning workloads. You will be part of a team that designs and builds the infrastructure necessary for model training, inference, and deployment. This role combines systems engineering, AI platform development, and DevOps to ensure reliable and scalable infrastructure for AI solutions. You will collaborate with various teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or ML infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience building AI/GPU clusters
  • Doctorate degree with 0 years of related work experience, Master's degree with 3 years of related work experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related work experience

Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and operate scalable, secure, and cost-effective AI platforms and model serving systems.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies in AI infrastructure and develop reference designs for enterprise adoption.
  • Integrate and lead AI compute infrastructure while diagnosing hardware and platform issues.
  • Design and maintain high-performance storage and data pipelines for large-scale AI workloads.
  • Develop observability and monitoring solutions to optimize AI workload performance.
  • Implement security-by-design principles to protect AI workloads and sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with AI researchers, data scientists, and software engineers to align platform capabilities with business needs.
