Job description

The AirPods Firmware team is seeking an enthusiastic engineer to contribute to the technical development of the audio platform for Apple's consumer audio products. This individual contributor role involves architecting and developing a key technology that integrates and manages data and system states for these products. The position requires collaboration with a cross-functional team to innovate and improve product quality. A passion for product ownership and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this high visibility role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of proven excellence in firmware, embedded software, or embedded product development.
  • Solid C/C++ coding abilities with experience in RTOS environments.
  • Strong understanding of embedded software fundamentals, including design and development flows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the technical aspects of the audio platform for Apple products.
  • Drive technology and product development for consumer audio products.
  • Collaborate with team members and other engineering teams.
  • Architect and develop the audio platform to improve product quality and innovation.
  • Work with globally distributed teams on large scale software projects.
