The Logic Design Engineer will be part of the CPU Logic Design Team, focusing on the CPU on-chip interconnect network, coherency, and last-level caches. This role involves micro-architectural definition, RTL coding, logic debug, synthesis, and timing closure. The engineer will collaborate with verification and implementation teams to ensure performance and power goals are met. This position offers a chance to impact various product lines in a technology-driven company.
Requirements
- Recent graduate with a BS or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Experience in processor or related high-performance semiconductor designs.
- Verilog expertise and a deep understanding of ASIC design flow.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong background in computer architecture, cache coherency, or high-speed interconnects.
Responsibilities
- Own and be responsible for crafting and timely delivery of a specific unit on the chip.
- Write readable high-performance and low-power RTL.
- Collaborate with the verification team to verify the correctness of the unit.
- Work with implementation to achieve timing, area, performance, and power goals.
- Assist with timing closure of super units.
