Job description

The Autonomous Vehicles Platform team is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer to work on their Autonomous Driving Platform software. This role involves developing scalable solutions for data collection and managing autonomous vehicle fleets. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to enhance platform and middleware features for self-driving cars, focusing on sensor integration and performance optimization. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology in the autonomous vehicle industry.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience working on system software.
  • Excellent programming skills in C++, C, and Python.
  • Familiarity with source control tools.
  • Solid understanding of Linux, QNX, ROS, and/or real-time operating systems.
  • Experience in developing user-space system software.
  • Knowledge about embedded system programming and parallel computing.
  • Familiarity with hardware architecture for CPU/GPU and memory.
  • Prior experience in Autonomous Vehicles, Robotics, or Embedded Systems.
  • Outstanding communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate sensors into the Autonomous Vehicle driving software stack.
  • Develop and improve the startup user experience of the AV stack.
  • Develop data recording and mining software.
  • Work on sensor abstraction layers, data processing, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with hardware, platform software, product, safety, performance, algorithms, and cloud teams.
