Job description

The Device Integration Engineer will focus on producing high-quality transistor and discrete electronic devices while collaborating with various engineering teams. This role involves driving process modifications to meet strict specifications and improving quality, reliability, and yield. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in solid-state physics and statistical analysis to solve complex technical problems. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for engaging with senior leaders and driving project execution.

Requirements

  • Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related STEM field AND 3+ years relevant experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related STEM field.
  • Experience in semiconductor process integration, yield engineering, process development, or technology development.
  • Strong understanding of FEOL and/or BEOL manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in project execution, including design of experiments (DOE) and process improvement.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis methods including DOE, SPC, Cp/Cpk analysis, and root-cause methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the factory to produce devices that meet defined specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers to modify processes for quality and performance.
  • Control initial quality metrics at the end-of-line to screen material.
  • Perform analyses to determine root causes of device performance issues.
  • Continuously improve quality, reliability, cost, and yield through feedback loops.
  • Develop solutions to technical problems using solid-state physics and statistics.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and drive their implementation.
  • Summarize complex problems and communicate with senior leaders.
  • Engage with multiple teams to implement process improvement opportunities.
