The Product Engineer for ARM Servers, Storage, and ML Systems at Google is responsible for enhancing server and storage designs, processes, and quality standards for production. This role is part of the Manufacturing Operations team, which ensures that Google's powerful computing infrastructure is built efficiently and effectively. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to meet product specifications and support manufacturing processes. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership to drive product quality and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in electrical devices, fabrication processes, test, design for manufacturing, quality, or reliability engineering.
- Experience working with Original Device Manufacturers (ODMs), Contract Manufacturers (CMs), and suppliers to lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead design for manufacturing efforts across teams to ensure server/storage designs, process, test, and quality standards are enhanced for production.
- Lead and guide Subject Matter Experts to ensure the product meets our specifications.
- Ensure manufacturing sites are prepared for product builds ahead of time and provide on-site support.
- Work with the Product Quality Engineer to establish product quality and reliability goals.
- Coordinate release of New Product Introduction (NPI) Bills of Materials (BOMs) into Product Data Management (PDM) system.
