The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior-level position focused on establishing and implementing new or revised application systems in collaboration with the Technology team. This role emphasizes leading applications systems analysis and programming activities, particularly in the context of data modernization and migration. The analyst will work on developing scalable data processing pipelines and optimizing data models while ensuring data integrity and security. Additionally, the position involves mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with product managers to meet business goals.

• 6+ years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
• Experience as Applications Development Manager
• Experience in Data Engineering, focused on Big Data ecosystems
• Expert level programming experience in Python
• Hands-on experience in writing SQL queries
• Highly experienced with Unix-based operating systems and shell scripting
• Experience with source code management tools such as Bitbucket and Git
• Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases, and operating systems
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

• Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant batch and real-time data processing pipelines
• Lead the strategic migration of data and logic from legacy platforms to a modern Data Lakehouse environment
• Re-engineer existing stored procedures and complex legacy ETL jobs into scalable, distributed processing frameworks using Spark
• Design and implement automated frameworks for Data Parity Testing to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Orchestrate a phased migration strategy to ensure zero downtime for downstream business applications
• Establish performance baselines on legacy systems and ensure new architecture meets or exceeds those benchmarks
• Write clean, high-performance code in Python and optimize complex SQL queries
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of data jobs
• Provide technical mentorship and conduct code reviews for junior and mid-level engineers
• Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure data availability for downstream analytics
