NVIDIA is seeking a highly skilled Failure Analysis Engineer to join their Physical Failure Analysis team. This role involves investigating complex product failures at the intersection of physics, process technology, physical design, and circuit design. The engineer will perform Physical Failure Analysis on advanced integrated circuits and deep learning processors, driving critical engineering solutions. The position requires adaptability and expertise in translating challenges into actionable insights.

• Deep understanding of semiconductor IC fabrication and advanced packaging processes.
• Proven proficiency in precision IC device sample preparation for defect localization.
• Hands-on expertise with advanced Optical and Electron microscopy techniques.
• Strong working knowledge of physical and electrical failure analysis across various levels.
• A B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a closely related field, paired with 8+ years of relevant industry experience.

• Design and implement cutting-edge methodologies for root-cause investigations.
• Perform mechanical cross-sectioning and advanced chemical de-processing of IC devices.
• Apply advanced Focused Ion Beam sample preparation and analysis techniques.
• Lead high-impact failure analysis investigations to isolate root causes of critical failures.
• Deliver precise physical characterization data to support engineering teams.
