The Senior System Software Engineer will contribute to the development of NVIDIA Halos, a safety platform for physical AI applications such as autonomous vehicles and industrial robots. This role involves working with embedded systems, operating systems, and virtualization technologies. The engineer will collaborate with diverse teams to create high-performance software solutions that adhere to safety standards. Candidates should have a strong background in system software development and real-time operating systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in System Software architecture and development for real-time embedded systems
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and operating system fundamentals
- Strong programming and debugging skills in C and/or Ada/SPARK
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, and debug system software for NVIDIA Halos OS across QNX, Linux, and hypervisor-based environments
- Design and develop BSP and I/O Virtualization solutions for mixed-criticality systems on NVIDIA SoCs
- Develop safe and secure software aligned with ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 standards using Formal Methods
- Bring up and optimize next-generation NVIDIA platforms in collaboration with various teams
- Design debugging, tracing, logging, and performance-analysis solutions to enhance developer experience
