Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer to join the Datacenter System Software team, focusing on fleet-scale debugability. The role involves designing and building infrastructure for log collection and analysis across multiple components and racks. The engineer will work on normalizing and correlating logs to help triage fleet-level issues. This position is crucial for transforming raw log data into actionable insights for hardware and software faults.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in the software industry with specialization in system software and/or firmware development.
  • BS, MS, or PhD in CS, CE, EE, or a related technical field — or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of shipping scalable server products or fleet-wide experience.
  • Strong, demonstrable skills in Python or RUST.
  • Deep Linux systems experience including kernel and driver logs, syslog, and debugging on server platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and build fleet-wide log collection and analysis solutions.
  • Develop tooling to collect, normalize, and time-align logs from heterogeneous sources.
  • Build and maintain a log catalog and taxonomy for fault classification and remediation guidance.
  • Develop debug and root-cause tooling for actionable diagnoses of hardware and software faults.
  • Partner with various organizations to implement end-to-end logging solutions.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
