Job description
This role is focused on building and operating scalable services that are essential to AWS infrastructure. The team, EC2 Manufacturing Infrastructure Services, ensures the health of AWS hardware by testing systems across manufacturing sites. Engineers in this position will work on platform-level software to deliver reliable hardware to AWS customers. The role requires deep technical expertise and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting
- Experience in enterprise scale infrastructure or development-based cloud programs/projects
- 3+ years of systems engineering, network engineering, or SRE experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals including networking, storage, and operating systems
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
- Knowledge of security technology and concepts such as Authentication and Authorization
- Experience with AWS services in edge/hybrid environments
Responsibilities
- Own the reliability of manufacturing networking, systems, and platform infrastructure across AWS manufacturing partner sites globally.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code to manage distributed manufacturing services at new and existing sites.
- Build monitoring, alerting, and anomaly detection systems to identify infrastructure failures.
- Develop troubleshooting tools and runbooks for rapid diagnosis and resolution of site infrastructure issues.
- Consult with ODM/CM IT teams on network design and infrastructure standards.
- Drive site expansion readiness to ensure new manufacturing sites are infrastructure-ready.
- Implement security and operational best practices for manufacturing environments.
- Contribute to architecture decisions for manufacturing platform evolution.
- Develop and build systems that enable operating manufacturing infrastructure at scale.
