The ITS Support Engineer role at Amazon involves providing high-quality technical support to corporate employees, ensuring their IT needs are met effectively. Requirements
- 1+ years of Windows Server technologies experience including AD, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
- 2+ years of troubleshooting experience in a multi-user high availability environment.
- 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation experience.
- 1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
- 2+ years of networking experience including DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP.
- 2+ years of experience supporting corporate setting Windows, Mac, or Linux Operating systems.
- 2+ years of experience supporting and maintaining a corporate network environment.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment.
- Experience with Active Directory or experience deploying, managing, and optimizing Microsoft Windows Server.
- Ability to write simple scripts in an administrative language.
- Proven ability to develop clear, concise change management and standard operating procedure documentation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver on-site, high-quality, hands-on support diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
- Assist with activities to triage and escalate system or network outages to reduce downtime.
- Understand and execute change management activities in a high availability environment.
- Participate with partner teams and vendors on continuous improvement projects.
- Effectively manage and oversee IT asset inventories.
- Participate in hiring efforts, training, and developing peers and new team members as a mentor.
- Continuously expand skills, learning the latest technologies and maintaining knowledge of IT policies.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call duty for isolated high-severity incidents.
