The Senior Reliability & Test Engineer will join DoorDash Labs, focusing on developing automation and robotics solutions for last-mile logistics. This role involves collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and autonomy teams to ensure the reliability of unmanned platforms. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be responsible for developing test methods to identify potential failures. The position emphasizes hands-on work and rigorous validation strategies to enhance hardware performance.

• Minimum of five years of professional involvement in reliability validation or hardware testing for robotics, unmanned platforms, or automated vehicle systems.
• Possession of a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Mechanical, Systems, Electrical, or Robotics Engineering.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency with environmental chambers, vibration tables, and DAQ systems.
• Hands-on capability with CAD and shop tools.
• Adept at utilizing Python scripts for automating test procedures.

• Architect and implement rigorous validation strategies using Python scripts for automation.
• Oversee experimental execution across internal facilities and external laboratories.
• Translate high-level vehicle reliability requirements into granular performance metrics.
• Lead formal FMEA and FTA sessions to assess reliability.
• Spearhead forensic investigations into hardware failures using the FRACAS framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate sensor performance and software reliability.
