Job description

The role involves leading the design and implementation of complex test methodologies for Cellular modems at Qualcomm. The individual will analyze performance and functional aspects of advanced multi-RAT cellular modems while collaborating with various internal teams and external partners. This position requires expertise in 3GPP WWAN specifications, particularly in LTE and 5GNR, and the application of Machine Learning and Generative AI techniques. The candidate will also provide technical leadership and foster continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Expertise in 3GPP WWAN specifications, particularly with LTE and 5GNR.
  • Experience in end-to-end performance and functional analysis of cellular modems.
  • Strong understanding of Machine Learning and Generative AI techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of complex test methodologies for Cellular modems.
  • Analyze and optimize system performance based on data from lab and live networks.
  • Collaborate with modem systems, software, hardware, and firmware teams to commercialize high-performance modems.
  • Provide technical and people leadership by coaching team members and encouraging continuous learning.
  • Act as a contributor in design reviews and project meetings, implementing development plans.
