The Electrical Reliability Studies Engineer at Jacobs is responsible for conducting power-system and Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) studies across various sectors including power generation and renewable energy. This role involves developing technical models and performing assessments to identify risks and recommend improvements to system reliability. The engineer will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to present findings and ensure compliance with industry standards. The position is based in Denver, Colorado, and offers a hybrid work setup.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 4 years of direct experience in power system modelling and studies, including reliability analysis.
• Experience with power-system analysis tools such as ETAP or equivalent software.
• Familiarity with RAM software such as ReliaSoft BlockSim or equivalent tools.
• Strong analytical, technical-writing, communication, and presentation skills.

• Develop RAM models using reliability block diagrams and fault trees.
• Calculate system reliability, availability, and expected downtime.
• Perform assessments in accordance with applicable NERC Reliability Standards.
• Prepare technical reports and present methodologies and findings to stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable NERC and FERC requirements.
