Tesla is looking for a highly motivated BIM Engineer to enhance digital efficiency across projects. The role involves combining technical automation skills with BIM engineering expertise to improve model quality and reduce errors. The ideal candidate will have experience with large, complex projects and will collaborate with various engineering disciplines. This position focuses on developing tools and maintaining BIM data integrity.

• Degree in Software Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil, Structural, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in BIM automation and coordination, preferably in industrial, semiconductor, solar, battery, or mission-critical facility construction
• Proficiency in C# and .NET, with experience developing tools via the Revit API
• Experience with visual programming and automation tools such as Dynamo and Python
• Familiarity with Revit, the Revit API, and BIM data exchange and interoperability
• Experience with version control (Git) and software development best practices
• Experience with AutoCAD, IFC, and awareness of other BIM and parametric design applications
• Experience interfacing with construction and cost control on quantity takeoffs
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to engineer solutions to interoperability issues
• Self-starter with high autonomy to drive undefined scopes and propose solutions

• Develop and maintain custom applications and Revit add-ins using the Revit API
• Integrate BIM data with external systems such as digital twin and document management
• Document workflows, tools, and standards for team-wide adoption and training
• Maintain the integrity and health of central Revit files through auditing and parameters management
• Convert 2D/3D geometry into usable BIM content
• Perform model audits and quality checks to ensure model accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with architectural, structural, MEP, and manufacturing teams to resolve coordination issues
• Support day-to-day BIM production including model setup and drawing package coordination
• Develop and manage BIM content libraries aligned with project and company standards
• Facilitate multi-discipline coordination and clash detection, tracking issue close-out
