Tesla is looking for a Staff Robotics Manufacturing Engineer to join the Stator team in Austin, TX. This role focuses on developing new processes and high-volume automation equipment for stator manufacturing. The engineer will collaborate with various internal teams and equipment suppliers to ensure the design and optimization of manufacturing lines meet safety and quality standards. The position requires strong project management skills to drive timely execution and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Experience improving production processes using data analysis software such as Minitab or JMP.
• Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software.
• Experience working with automation systems and robotics controlled by PLCs.
• Strong hands-on experience with high-volume and pilot manufacturing.
• Proven track record of data-driven methodology to solve complex problems.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Develop manufacturing methods and specify equipment necessary for stator manufacturing.
• Develop new highly automated manufacturing lines from concept to production.
• Optimize product flow and line efficiency while reducing Capex and lead-time.
• Generate machine specifications, documentation, and manufacturing instructions.
• Generate process flow, failure mode effects analysis, and inspection methodology for new products.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement and cost reduction programs.
• Collaborate with the Stator Engineering Design team to propose solutions for Tesla’s future products.
• Drive excellence in project execution by defining, managing, and executing project timelines.
