Tesla is seeking a Sr. Civil Engineer to join their AEC team at the Fremont Factory. This role involves collaborating with diverse teams to support manufacturing operations through the design and construction of capital projects. The engineer will also assess existing site utilities and ensure regulatory compliance. The position requires a strong background in civil engineering and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

• 5 to 10 years of experience in Civil engineering/Site Development.
• A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California.
• Advanced experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology/stormwater management software.
• Knowledge of construction materials, details, and techniques.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly, both written and verbally.
• Flexibility to support project milestones outside of standard business hours.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

• Make technical assumptions and draw conclusions based on engineering judgement.
• Gather existing conditions information and produce base drawings in Civil 3D.
• Prepare design drawings, plans, profiles, sections, and details in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Coordinate civil CAD modeling with multidiscipline project teams.
• Manage site surveys, ALTA’s, and title reports.
• Present model reviews to stakeholders and multi-discipline teams.
• Provide construction administration support, including responding to RFIs.
• Lead the acquisition of site development, grading, and building permits.
• Work with the BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent results.
