As a member of the Firmware Platforms team at Tesla, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality embedded code for the processors in Tesla products. This role involves solving challenging problems in embedded software and contributing to the development of systems that enable Over-The-Air updates. You will work with a team of engineers focused on building robust and reliable embedded systems using advanced software development tools. Your contributions will play a crucial role in transforming the electric vehicle and energy sectors.

• Experience in embedded development in robotics, real-time controls, or system software.
• Proficiency in C programming language.
• Fluency in software fundamentals including software design for maintainability.
• Experience with embedded microprocessor toolchains and debuggers.
• Knowledge of controls software and algorithm development.
• Familiarity with test-driven development and automated testing.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical concepts.
• Understanding of physics and basic electronics principles is preferred.
• Experience with at least one assembly language is preferred.
• Familiarity with static analysis, fuzzing, or other advanced testing/verification tools is preferred.

• Deliver high-quality C code in a real-time embedded environment.
• Specify, design, and implement new functionality for embedded subsystems.
• Design the software architecture and firmware implementation through integration, testing, and high-volume manufacturing.
• Conduct hands-on hardware bring-up, system debugging, and code optimization.
• Make performance and optimization trade-offs to meet product requirements.
