As a Dimensional Engineer on the Meta Reality Labs hardware team, you will support the development and production of advanced mechanical designs and sensor integration solutions for AI glasses. You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers and scientists to explore new concepts through analytical modeling and prototyping. The role emphasizes collaboration and innovation, driving concepts into prototypes that transition into high-volume consumer products. Your expertise in dimensional engineering will be crucial in solving complex design challenges.

• Experience developing 3D variation simulation analyses using software packages such as Siemens VA, 3DCS, or CETOL.
• 8+ years of industry or academic experience.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing techniques including machining, 3D printing, and injection molding.
• Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and associated metrology.
• Experience working on design teams throughout the product lifecycle.

• Lead geometry control solutions as part of a team, including 3D dimensional analysis and datum coordination.
• Lead tolerance analysis and GD&T development efforts with the design team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate concepts and detailed designs.
• Apply rigorous variation simulation modeling to solve challenging design problems.
• Contribute to robust measurement plan execution by supporting gauge R&R studies with suppliers.
