The Manufacturing Quality Engineer role at Meta focuses on establishing and managing a Quality Program centered on vendor performance and operational reliability. Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Quality Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Improvement, Process Management, or Mission Critical Engineering/Construction/Operations.
- Experience with sharing information and influencing others, including executive communications and presentations.
- A proven communicator with experience energizing short-term and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Experience applying root cause analysis, statistical process control, and quality tools to resolve manufacturing or construction quality issues.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in directly and indirectly managing output of complex projects, programs, suppliers, or internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct vendor audits and evaluate on-site trend data reflective of vendor performance.
- Develop and monitor quality program metrics to evaluate vendor manufacturing and project performance.
- Contribute to building teams by mentoring and developing off-site Vendor teams.
- Remain informed of operational equipment deficiencies and program manage systemic vendor RCA.
- Establish effective processes and standards in conjunction with matrixed teams.
- Provide leadership to offsite vendor and on-site Meta Operations Facilities Engineering management.
- Provide direction and feedback to vendor staff and general contractor staff on the OFCI Management and Quality program.
- Provide onboarding and continuous training of Vendor personnel on quality procedures.
- Coordinate quality issues and schedule dynamics between various teams to ensure operational readiness.
- Audit Quality activities of vendor and project team staff on a regular cadence.
- Recommend and verify effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
- Partner with Vendor teams and Project Teams to review Energization, Start-up, and Commissioning schedules.
- Help drive the closure of open issues and escalate any items not getting closed out timely.
- Assist in confirming that testing documentation is properly completed and retained.
- Attend required Construction Meetings such as project and quality meetings.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
