The Core Service Engineering team at Tesla is focused on building applications that enhance the ownership experience for customers, particularly in areas like charging and Robotaxi services. This role involves developing backend systems for pricing estimations and billing workflows across various markets. The engineer will work on real-time pricing algorithms and REST APIs that will be visible to customers through Tesla's website and mobile applications. • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• More than 2 years of experience in server-side infrastructure and data processing.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems with minimal guidance.
• Good collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with Golang, Java, .NET, or MySQL is a plus.
• Expert knowledge of REST APIs and Microservice architecture.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and queue processing technologies like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Build backend systems to determine real-time pricing and surcharges for Tesla Robotaxi rides and charging stations.
• Develop ride price estimation algorithms considering various factors such as traffic and additional fees.
• Create Golang services to orchestrate billing and payment workflows for Robotaxi rides and NACS charging.
• Build REST APIs for customer-facing application flows.
• Assist in the global expansion of the Robotaxi program by estimating additional fees related to rides.
• Support the North American expansion of the Charging program by analyzing roaming costs.
• Develop backend infrastructure for storing and processing route pricing data globally.
