Job description
Tesla is looking for a Robotics Manufacturing Engineer to innovate and implement high-volume automation systems for the Rotor Manufacturing division. This role focuses on designing advanced production lines that enhance efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring safety and quality standards. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to develop cutting-edge machines and processes. A strong emphasis is placed on solving complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with high-volume and pilot manufacturing
- Proven track record of data-driven methodology to solve complex problems
- Mastery of 3D and 2D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Experience in manufacturing process development, specification, and evaluation
- Experience directing complex engineering project efforts
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Develop new highly automated manufacturing lines from concept to production
- Engineer novel manufacturing processes for production with a focus on precision, speed, and cost efficiency
- Aggressively reduce costs by designing solutions that minimize material waste, energy consumption, and labor content
- Lead validation of production processes and automated inspection tools
- Own end-to-end project execution from concept development to installation and continuous process improvement
