Job description
In this role, you will serve as a Data Analyst supporting the Material Planning department at Tesla. You will focus on supply and demand planning analytics, multi-tier supply visibility, and operational reporting. Your responsibilities will include building tools and automated pipelines to enhance real-time visibility into supply chains and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be proactive and technically versatile, with a strong emphasis on automating workflows and solving complex supply chain problems using data.
Requirements
- Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience with 2+ years of work experience in supply chain analytics or a related analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in querying large datasets using SQL.
- Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, and pipeline development.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and present findings clearly.
- Experience building and maintaining automated data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow.
- Collaborative working style with the ability to build trust across teams.
- Experience building frontend tools using React and JSS is highly preferred.
- Experience creating dashboards using tools like Tableau is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with supply chain concepts such as multi-tier planning is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain tools, dashboards, and platforms for supply and demand planning visibility.
- Design and run supply simulations to identify gating supply chains and forecast risk.
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines for daily workflow orchestration.
- Automate daily operational workflows to eliminate manual processes.
- Query and analyze large-scale datasets using SQL to uncover supply chain trends.
- Develop Python-based automation scripts for data extraction and reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally with various teams to align analytics deliverables.
- Support leadership with dashboards and ad-hoc analyses.
- Independently manage multiple analytical projects and data support requests.
- Partner with IT and Systems teams to define system requirements and participate in the software development lifecycle.
