Job description

In this role, you will connect factory manufacturing teams with the AI/Robotics organization at Tesla. Your main focus will be on identifying high-ROI tasks for Optimus and driving its deployment readiness. You will also collect data to enhance AI models and ensure Optimus is integrated into existing factory systems. This position requires strong project management skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across various teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, computer science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, factory automation or technical program roles.
  • Project management skills with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Experience creating manufacturing station layouts, process flows and material flow designs.
  • Ability to collect, clean and visualize large datasets and build dashboards using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence factory leadership and central AI/engineering teams.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders across Tesla factories to collect manufacturing process data and identify high-ROI tasks.
  • Own end-to-end project management for Optimus deployment initiatives including task identification and execution tracking.
  • Create and iterate manufacturing station layouts and material flow for Optimus integration into production lines.
  • Lead data collection initiatives that support AI model training and robot capability improvement.
  • Drive leadership alignment on AI, data collection and deployment priorities.
  • Build tools and systems that enhance collaboration between factory teams and AI/Robotics teams.
  • Design and build dashboards for factory data, robot performance and deployment progress.
