In this pivotal role at Tesla's Energy organization, you will lead the software development for real-time quality systems at Megafactory. The focus is on architecting event-driven data streams and real-time action engines to enhance manufacturing quality. You will collaborate with various teams to translate quality requirements into production-grade software. This position offers a unique opportunity to establish foundational software patterns and standards for future system teams.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of professional software development experience, including delivering production-grade real-time or event-driven systems
• Expert proficiency in Python for building reliable, scalable back-end services and APIs
• Hands-on experience with data event streaming technologies such as Kafka or equivalent
• Strong database skills across SQL and NoSQL, including MySQL, Microsoft SQL, and ClickHouse
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and DevOps practices such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
• Experience presenting architecture and design proposals for review board approval
• Strong ownership, clear communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact manufacturing environment

• Design, build, and operate event-driven data streaming pipelines that ingest high-volume manufacturing, equipment, and test data in real time
• Develop real-time action systems that trigger automated quality actions
• Work with data engineers to architect scalable services and data stores for quality data
• Deploy and manage containerized microservices on Kubernetes to ensure high availability
• Own the full software development lifecycle with robust CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Prepare and present system designs for Architecture Review Board approval
• Partner with quality, manufacturing, controls, and data engineers to translate quality requirements into software
• Establish reusable frameworks, coding standards, and architectural patterns for future system teams
