The Gigafactory Nevada Industrial and Systems Engineering team is looking for a motivated Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) engineer. This role focuses on the design, development, and maintenance of SCADA systems and their supporting data systems to enhance factory-wide production and operations. The ideal candidate will possess both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in a factory production environment, process optimization, UI design, and data engineering. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure effective system integration and performance.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in Data, Controls, or Software Engineering or related field
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, or maintaining SCADA/PLC systems
• Proficiency with at least one major SCADA platform such as Ignition, AVEVA Wonderware, Siemens, or Rockwell
• Proficiency in script-based programming including Python, Go, and SQL
• Strong understanding of SQL, databases, and data management
• Experience with PLC programming and HMI development
• Experience with agentic/AI tooling and development
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across diverse teams
• Proficiency in React or related frontend framework/libraries

• Design and enhance SCADA systems to monitor and optimize manufacturing operations
• Collaborate with project managers and controls/manufacturing teams to define system requirements and specifications
• Integrate SCADA with other manufacturing systems such as DCS, MES, FX, and historians
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to SCADA, data, SQL queries, and Python scripts
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials
• Provide technical support, training, and guidance to operations and maintenance teams
• Serve as the primary point of contact for users, addressing day-to-day support and advocating system adoption
• Proactively identify improvement opportunities across manufacturing systems
