The Network Production Engineer role at Meta involves designing, building, and operating one of the largest networks globally. This position focuses on solving complex technical challenges in the Backbone, Datacenter, and AI Network domains. Engineers in this role will work on the complete lifecycle of the network, including planning, design, deployment, and monitoring. The team aims to enhance operational efficiency and reliability while supporting billions of users across Meta's applications.

• 6+ years of experience with planning, designing, building and/or operating scalable systems/networks.
• 4+ years of coding experience in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, C++, or Java.
• Demonstrated knowledge of TCP, IPv4/6, and Routing Protocols including BGP, MPLS, or similar.
• Experience developing and understanding network device configuration in multi-vendor environments.
• Hardware evaluation and vendor management experience.
• Experience developing software using AI models.

• Establish and implement global best practices and design new scalable network solutions.
• Conceptualize, build, and maintain automation and tools to support network deployment.
• Conduct thorough investigations into complex technical issues across networks.
• Be on-call to learn from real-world production challenges and improve future products.
• Help increase operational efficiency by identifying roadblocks and designing automation solutions.
• Develop operational process improvements and implement them in scalable workflows.
• Proactively identify gaps that impact multiple teams and drive projects to completion.
