Job description
The role is part of Apple's Core Technologies Supplier Quality Engineering team, focusing on leading technical teams during the development of next-generation products. As the technical lead for a core technology commodity, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and global suppliers to ensure product success. The position emphasizes quality and manufacturing process controls for critical components prior to launch. You will leverage your expertise in Design for Manufacturability and statistical analysis to drive improvements and solve complex issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in New Product Introduction, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or Quality Engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or Industrial Engineering.
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- Exceptional ability to build relationships and communicate clearly.
- Data-driven and results-oriented with a passion for innovative problem-solving.
- Experience partnering with off-shore manufacturers and high volume production.
Responsibilities
- Own the quality and manufacturing process controls for critical components prior to launch.
- Act as the primary technical advisor for your domain.
- Drive Design for Manufacturability, yield improvements, and test strategies.
- Utilize advanced statistical knowledge and failure analysis to solve complex manufacturing issues.
- Deliver clear executive presentations to communicate findings and strategies.
