This role involves building and operating scalable services that are essential to AWS infrastructure. The team focuses on ensuring the health of AWS hardware by testing systems across manufacturing sites. Engineers will work in a fast-paced environment to develop technology solutions that address complex business challenges. The position requires a deep understanding of systems architecture and a commitment to customer experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems.
- Deep expertise in Linux OS and network troubleshooting.
- Experience leading enterprise scale infrastructure or development-based cloud programs/projects.
- Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks at scale.
- 5+ years of systems engineering, network engineering, or SRE experience.
- Advanced networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical decisions across teams.
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.
- 3+ years of experience in data centers or manufacturing technology environments.
- Experience designing and implementing security architectures.
- Deep experience with AWS services in edge/hybrid environments.
- Experience architecting on-premise infrastructure solutions.
- Hands-on experience with PXE boot, IPMI/BMC, or bare-metal provisioning.

Responsibilities
- Own the reliability of manufacturing networking, systems, and platform infrastructure across AWS manufacturing partner sites globally.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code to manage distributed manufacturing services.
- Build monitoring, alerting, and anomaly detection systems to identify infrastructure failures.
- Develop troubleshooting tools and runbooks for rapid diagnosis and resolution of site infrastructure issues.
- Consult with ODM/CM IT teams on network design and infrastructure standards.
- Drive site expansion readiness to ensure new manufacturing sites are infrastructure-ready.
- Implement security and operational best practices for manufacturing environments.
- Contribute to architecture decisions for manufacturing platform evolution.
- Develop and build systems that enable operating manufacturing infrastructure at scale.
