Job description
The Advance Manufacturing Engineer at Apple is responsible for designing precision assembly and measurement processes for Apple products. This role involves researching and developing new technologies to address complex assembly and automation challenges that directly affect product quality and delivery. The engineer will also design and implement automated solutions based on sound engineering principles. Collaboration with diverse teams is essential to inspire innovation and achieve remarkable results.
Requirements
- 3+ years of strong work experience in precision assembly, inspection, and automation equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field.
- Ability to travel 30-40%.
- Knowledgeable in crafting machine qualification requirements, design of experiments, and failure analysis.
- Understands build tolerance analysis for parts and assemblies.
- Understands machine qualification including calibration, correlation, capability, repeatability, and reproducibility.
- Able to communicate effectively in a worldwide environment.
- New product introduction and Manufacturing Operations experience desired.
- Proven track record of cost reduction, project management, and engineering design required.
- Working knowledge of GD&T principles favorable.
- NX, SolidWorks CAD or ProE experiences a plus.
- Working knowledge of laser welding, robotics, pneumatics, motion controllers, or PLC and PC-based control systems is a plus.
- JMP, Minitab & Six Sigma experience preferred.
- Master's degree considered a plus.
