The Cellular System Engineer will be a vital member of the system engineering team at Apple, focusing on modem systems features and requirements. This role involves both pre- and post-silicon bring up and validation of end-to-end cellular systems. The engineer will work on mapping system algorithms and requirements to hardware and firmware architecture. A strong understanding of communication system theory and signal processing is essential for designing various algorithms.

• MS in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of cellular communication standards including 5G NR and 4G LTE
• Deep knowledge of communication system theory and signal processing
• Experience with Matlab, C/C++, and/or Python for algorithm development
• Experience in low power algorithm design for power critical applications
• In-depth knowledge of wireless communication systems

• Conduct pre- and post-silicon bring up and validation of cellular systems
• Map systems algorithms and requirements to hardware and firmware architecture
• Perform simulation and emulation-based validation of control flows and algorithms
• Design algorithms for signal estimation, detection, and channel estimation
• Utilize lab equipment for chip bring-up and testing
