Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Systems Software Engineer for its GeForce NOW cloud gaming platform. The role focuses on enhancing streaming performance over wireless networks, particularly in automotive and robotics applications. Candidates should have strong C++ skills and a solid understanding of wireless networking technologies, including 5G and Wi-Fi. The position involves collaboration with various teams to develop scalable solutions and improve real-time streaming capabilities.

Requirements

  • Master's degree, Ph.D., or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in wireless networking and software development.
  • Hands-on experience with wireless communication technologies, including 5G and Wi-Fi.
  • Strong hands-on experience in C/C++ software development, optimization, and debugging.
  • Deep understanding of streaming and connectivity-related technologies, including RTP, WebRTC, and NAT Traversal.

Responsibilities

  • Build, develop, and optimize low-latency C/C++ software for real-time streaming over wireless networks.
  • Analyze logs, packet captures, and network telemetry to address latency and system efficiency issues.
  • Develop network quality KPIs and automated test frameworks to validate streaming performance.
  • Partner with cloud networking teams and automotive partners to deliver scalable streaming solutions.
  • Use data analysis tools to understand real-world network behavior and identify areas for improvement.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
