The Software Integration Engineer will join the Platform Integration team at DoorDash Labs, focusing on the software aspects of robotics and automation for last mile logistics. This role is critical in ensuring that the robot operates as a cohesive system, handling interactions between various subsystems. The engineer will collaborate with electrical, hardware, firmware, and autonomy engineers to support new functionalities. This position is expected to be hybrid, combining in-office and remote work.

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in software for robotics, autonomous vehicles, or complex mechatronics systems.
• Experience with Python and C++, writing reliable and performant code.
• Solid understanding of operating system concepts, software performance, and networking.
• Familiarity with source control and build automation tools like Git, Jenkins, and Buildkite.

• Lead system-level debugging when issues cross subsystem boundaries.
• Support early integration of new sensor and software component designs by identifying interface requirements and risks.
• Design and maintain integration tests, test setups, and procedures to ensure subsystems meet requirements.
• Build and maintain mission-readiness checks used before manufacturing signoff and field testing.
• Create tools and debug guidance for Manufacturing Integration, Validation, Field Service, and Fleet Operations.
