Job description
The Entry Level Overhead Transmission Line Engineer will join Jacobs' Energy and Power team, focusing on the complexities of decarbonization and utility modernization. This role involves supporting utility and developer clients as part of the Transmission & Distribution operations in various locations. The engineer will develop design deliverables for utility upgrades and interconnection facilities. Strong communication and technical writing skills are essential for success in this collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Ability to perform field visits and walk-downs as required for client projects.
- Experience with Microsoft suite applications and AutoCAD, as well as structural design software.
- 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in Overhead Transmission Line Engineering design.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with regional and global Transmission & Distribution delivery teams.
- Support utility and developer clients in expanding the energy transition portfolio.
- Prepare project deliverables under the direction of the project lead.
- Understand client standards and design guidelines to ensure project compliance.
