Job description

The Data Architect role at Fidelity focuses on defining the next generation data platform infrastructure to enhance customer experiences and support financial goals. The team is part of the Enterprise Technology Solution Architecture, which aims to create innovative data solutions for various corporate and technology functions. The architect will work closely with business units to establish scalable, resilient, Cloud-based infrastructure while mentoring data engineers and analysts. This position requires a strong understanding of modern data architecture and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technology related field is required.
  • 6+ years of data solution architecture, design and development delivery experience is required.
  • Proven experience in Relational, NoSql, Data warehouse, Data Lake and Streaming technologies is required.
  • Relevant certification in public cloud services is highly desirable.
  • Solid experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban is required.

Responsibilities

  • Define information architecture for key domains including HR, Legal, Risk and Compliance, Finance, Cybersecurity, and Technology Management.
  • Evaluate data related tools and technologies and recommend appropriate implementation patterns.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Data Architects to establish and adhere to enterprise standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to Data Engineers and Data Analysts.
  • Analyze cost and performance in data solutions and recommend improvements for optimization.
