Job description
As a Facilities Development Engineer at Intel, you will be instrumental in designing and developing equipment installation packages for innovative manufacturing equipment. This role involves collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers to drive innovation in tool install designs. You will oversee the design and fabrication of steel pedestals that serve as permanent foundations for advanced equipment. Requirements
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience or a master’s degree in Structural Engineering or a similar field.
- Applicant must have the required degree by September 2026.
- Career plan to register as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) in the state of Oregon within the next 5 years.
- 1+ years of experience with proficiency in CAD modeling tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, or equivalent programs.
- Knowledge of US building codes, including ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC, as well as building and fire codes for hazardous occupancies.
- Strong technical writing skills for specifications and other engineering documentation.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of steel pedestal designs in CAD/Revit.
- Design, execute, and analyze engineering experiments to pilot and refine innovative construction practices.
- Collaborate with suppliers to design, qualify, and improve equipment and systems, ensuring alignment with manufacturing requirements.
- Develop and maintain Intel Master Design Specifications (IMDS) for tool install infrastructure and process technologies.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and global supply chain teams to ensure smooth technology transfers and equipment startup.
- Perform operational analysis to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and safety processes.
- Utilize CAD modeling tools such as Revit or AutoCAD to design or review structural layouts in compliance with US building codes.
