The role is for a Hardware Engineer in Apple's Camera Hardware Engineering group, focusing on the development of high-performance compact camera modules. The engineer will take leadership in camera hardware projects and collaborate with various teams to enhance camera technology. This position emphasizes innovative design and development, ensuring exceptional camera experiences for Apple products. The engineer will work on all aspects of camera hardware, from research to qualification.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Optical Science, Physics, or a related field
• Master's or PhD degree and 3+ years of relevant industry experience
• Experience with mechanical design using CAD 3D molding and drafting package
• Structural and thermal Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience
• Experience with NX
• Tolerance analysis experience of high complexity and precision mechanical designs with excellent understanding of GD&T
• Experience designing for plastic injection molding and metal stamping for mass production
• Experience with various materials including research, selection, testing, and process ability
• PCB design experience
• Experience with magnetic simulation and voice coil motor (VCM) for camera

• Take ownership of the development of high-performance compact camera modules
