As a Hardware System Design Engineer at Apple, you will leverage your engineering expertise to collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development of innovative products. Your role will focus on solving complex engineering challenges, selecting components, and designing schematics. You will also be involved in prototyping and user testing, ensuring that the products meet customer needs. • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of hardware development engineering experience in a team environment.
• Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with schematic capture and layout review.
• Experience in prototyping, bring-up, debug, and validation.
• Experience designing high volume products from beginning to end with contract manufacturers.
• Experience as a technical lead and/or mentoring team members.
• Ability to understand and identify product tradeoffs and optimize designs to meet requirements.
• Working knowledge of embedded systems with a focus on meeting tight constraints.
• Knowledge in one or more areas such as CPU/SOC, power management, analog circuits, wireless systems, or sensor design.
• Experience working with mechanical design and software development teams.
• Experience with high speed and low speed digital interfaces.
• Expertise in electrical CAD tools, such as Cadence Concept and Allegro.
• Excellent written skills for clear reporting of data analysis and conclusions.

• Apply engineering expertise to solve challenging engineering problems.

• Direct layout and bring up/debug circuits in the lab.
• Collaborate with partner teams to realize prototypes for product definition.
• Perform characterization of circuits using state-of-the-art test equipment.
