Job description
In this role at Apple, you will take products from concept to mass production, managing the full life cycle of new product introduction (NPI). You will focus on selecting and implementing manufacturing processes for fixtures and assemblies in retail environments. The position requires a blend of creativity and technical expertise to research materials and technologies while mitigating development issues. Your work will directly impact the customer experience by creating innovative product display fixtures.
Requirements
- 3+ years of full-time mechanical manufacturing experience is required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary.
- A BS or MS degree in Material, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent work experience is required.
- Experience in fixture design, equipment design, or manufacturing/process optimization is a plus.
- Expertise in development or quality control of highly cosmetic components is highly regarded.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full life cycle of new product introduction from concept to mass production.
- Research new materials, technologies, and suppliers to identify and mitigate issues early in the development cycle.
- Create processes, tooling, equipment, and quality systems for product display fixtures.
- Demonstrate leadership by defining and closing all engineering tasks to meet project objectives.
- Utilize statistical and data analysis tools to make data-driven decisions.
