Job description

NVIDIA is seeking outstanding engineers to join their team focused on large language models (LLMs) and their inference applications. The team aims to enhance algorithmic performance and efficiency of LLM systems while exploring contemporary research in generative AI. Engineers will work on optimizing workloads, designing scalable systems, and collaborating with various teams to shape future software and hardware solutions. This role is critical in pushing the boundaries of what's possible with LLMs in sophisticated datacenter-scale use cases.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in deep learning and deep learning systems design.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++ programming.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture and GPU/parallel datacenter computing fundamentals.
  • Proven interest in analyzing, modeling, and tuning application performance.

Responsibilities

  • Explore and incorporate contemporary research on generative AI, agents, and inference systems into the NVIDIA LLM software stack.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis, profiling, and optimization of agentic LLM workloads to reduce request latency and increase request throughput.
  • Design and implement scalable systems to accelerate agentic workflows and handle sophisticated datacenter-scale use cases.
  • Advise future iterations of NVIDIA software, hardware, and systems by engaging with diverse teams and formalizing strategic requirements.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
