Rivian is seeking an intern for Fall 2026 to assist in developing an integrated analytical workflow that utilizes Cloud infrastructure and Large Language Models. The role is focused on creating an automated, cloud-connected system for data preparation and analysis of complex vehicle data. Candidates will work within a diverse team that values outdoor adventure and environmental protection. This internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a relevant degree program.

• Must be currently pursuing a master's or PhD degree at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.
• Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
• Proficiency in AI practices and experience with Large Language Models.
• Strong programming fluency in Python, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
• Advanced knowledge of machine learning classification algorithms and evaluation metrics.
• Practical experience with C or C++ for embedded systems development.
• Demonstrated coursework or project experience in signal processing techniques.

• Design and implement robust Python-based tools to parse and extract features from automotive PCAP logs.
• Apply advanced signal-processing techniques to transform vehicle data for large-scale analysis.
• Research, develop, and train machine learning models for prediction, detection, and classification tasks.
• Architect the end-to-end workflow for processing raw vehicle logs and preparing data for model training.
• Create user-friendly dashboards to visualize data and support decision-making.
