The Senior Embedded Software Engineer for Microcontroller OS at Google will focus on developing firmware for low-power augmented reality glasses. The engineer will be part of the Google Augmented Reality team, which is dedicated to creating immersive computing experiences. The position requires a blend of software development expertise and a passion for innovative technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in the C++ programming language.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience with embedded systems and firmware programming.
- Experience with realtime embedded programming for microcontrollers.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement MCU features needed for low power AR glasses.
- Transform MCU code to facilitate migration of MCUs, RTOSes, and peripherals.
- Optimize system efficiency in terms of power, thermal management, and memory usage.
- Bring up new systems and contribute to building next generation smart glasses.
- Collaborate closely with BSP teams, Electrical Engineering teams, and Phone teams.
